Hello! I'm Hugo, from section E2. I have 8 years work experience as a quant trader in a trading firm, and I have also been treasurer and financial in various clubs previously. I am excited to be your new VP of Finance because I want to ensure our budget works for us, support amazing events, keep things transparent, and squeeze the most out of every euro this year.

• Transparency you can trust
Each term, I will publish clear reports showing where funds have gone, how much remains, and what’s upcoming. Everyone should know exactly how our money is being used.
• Pragmatism and cost-efficiency
Great ideas will come forward, but my job is to keep us grounded and ensure our budget is used wisely. We want to support the most impactful initiatives in the most efficient way.
• Community-first budgeting
After covering mandatory expenses, I commit to allocating at least 50% of the total budget to community-led events and initiatives. Your ideas deserve funding.
• Fair and fast process
The council will meet weekly to decide funding requests, guided by three principles: (i) inclusivity, (ii) community impact, and (iii) fairness. Turnaround time will be no more than 7 days, so good ideas can become real quickly.
